Overview
One of the largest food and beverage companies required a CFO dashboard that consolidates critical financial KPIs with interactivity at a region, country, category, segment and brand level for any period.
The objective is to deliver a solution that facilitates a single view of financial indicators and facilitates easy comparison of KPls across different periods and levels with easy accessibility.
The dashboard must unify different financial performance metrics across various levels and streamline decision-making such as cost restructuring, marketing strategies with product mix strategies by providing real-time insights and progress tracking.
Solution
- Integrated data from different sources such as SAP BW, and SharePoint and created 1000+ dynamic measures basis business requirements.
- Designed 9 PowerBI Dataflows for applying transformations, creating hierarchical data and optimizing performance of the report.
- Developed visualizations comparing forecast vs. actual data along with yearly, quarterly, and monthly trends while also tracking YTD achievements and BTG (write the full form of this acronym) targets with comparisons to previous periods.
- Designed report pages with KPIs, slicers for departments such as Planning, Cost Management, Accounts, and Supply Chain.
- Automated report refreshes using Power Automate on scheduled day of each month
- Applied Row Level Security (RLS) using AD groups to restrict data access by country, category, and brand.
- Data is available at Sales Credit, Brand, Category, Segment and Country level.
- Actual Sales data (cost/profit) – ~100mb with 9 dimensions.
- Forecast Sales data (cost/profit) – ~150mb with 10 dimensions. `
